| Hydro-Slide Industries originally began as a result of the founder's search for an affordable means to retrieve water from a deep well when the power went out. Finding all the available products to be too expensive for back-up purposes, they decided to seek their own solution. The result is the Hydro-Slide Waterlift, a low cost, durable year round hand pump. The Waterlift uses a patentable system employing the weight of the column of water being lifted to actually assist in the pumping action. The counter-balanced cantilever handle is ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue. All machining and assembly is done in our own facility on specially designed equipment to provide the best quality at the lowest possible price. All exposed metal parts are either hot dip galvanized after fabrication, or stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance. The drop pipe sections are made of PVC for light weight thereby facilitating easy installation by the purchaser. The pump cylinder is made of high quality "lead-free" brass and works in conjunction with molded urethane cup seals and our own innovative check valve assemblies for optimum pump performance and longevity. All this translates to you getting the most water for the least work. The average person can bring 2-4 gallons of water to the surface per minute and with an optional kit can even move water uphill. The Hydro-Slide Waterlift was designed to fit alongside existing submersible pumps that use a pitless adapter(very common) without disturbing the current setup. We recommend a maximum depth to water table (static level) of 150 feet. The entire unit is assembled above ground and lowered into the well as one piece, thereby reducing the possibility of dropping anything down the well during installation. This is one advantage over other available backup systems which are installed in multiple pieces. The completed Waterlift installation includes a custom cast well cap and needs no special treatment during freezing weather because it is designed to drain down below frost level automatically. The basic Waterlift package comes with everything needed for installation down to a static level of 35 feet, for the low price of $499. For deeper static levels the cost is $19 for every additional five feet to the water level up to a maximum of 150 feet. Keep in mind that the static level will always be less than the finished well depth. |
